Introduce yourself 

Hey! My name is Aisha Ahmed Shetttima,I’m 19 years old and I’m currently in 400 level 😂😂😂.

Wow, interesting bio. So what are your hobbies ? 

I love sports and love learning new things. I love being selfless and rendering beneficial services to humanity.

You have such an amazing personality, how do you feel being the law student of the week ? 

It’s pretty exciting to be the student of the week actually ☺️☺️ and i was pleased when i found out and i feel honored.

That’s beautiful, if I may ask what can you say about the faculty of law ? 

Hmm,the prestigious faculty of law, I’ll say in one word ,it is constructive, in the sense that we’ve been taught so much to mode us into better attorneys in the nearest future. 

So how’s the study of law so far in the prestigious faculty of law, Al-Hikmah University ? 

We all know this course of study is tasking,but so far it has been enlightening ,impacting,entertaining as well.

Wow! What are the motives that makes you so active in school both Academically and socially ?

Well, I’m always mentally and physically and emotionally prepared and ready to reach the goal and I’m always motivated by my parents 🥳🥳.Socially i would say i love to see and make people smile 😊

How do you manage the Namlas and Legislative task with your studies ?

It’s all about timing and commitment. I took an oath to represent my class and I’m always reminded that been a part of Namlas is for the sake of Allah and humanity.

What are the things you’ve learnt/benefit from volunteering for service to the faculty of law ?

I’ve learnt to be a selfless person,and one mightn’t see the benefit in being selfless instantly,but you get rewarded in the end one way or the other.

What would you do if you had to complete a task you were unfamiliar with as an active student you’re ?

We all learn everyday,we discover unknown potentials we never thought we had, if i had to complete a task I’m unfamiliar with, all i need to do is make enquiries about such task,with the determination and commitment to work ,success will be achieved.

Do you plan to practice law or venture into business or get other things done  ?

I have passion for politics,advocacy and that I’m going to venture into,and probably business,we’ll see how things go.As for the practice of law,at the moment i have no intention to go into that. 

What’s your greatest fear ?

My greatest fear is losing the ones i hold dearly to my heart.

Where do you see yourself in five years ?

I see myself strong ,successful ,married and changing the game

Do you have any secret you want to share with us ? 

None at all

Finally, what advice would you like to give to the students of LAWHUI

Rome was not built in a day, let’s all endeavor to do our part. God bless the L.S.S

A lot of things could humiliate you, but life would tell you it’s a lesson,

There are a lot of things that are unplanned but life would make it look like usual thing, 

Life  is about long term achievements,

Life is about the little bit of fun of happiness and fun we had in it,

Life is about death being the end of itself.

    The P.R.O of the LSS AJIBOLA IBRAHIM interviewed this week Student of the Week, various questions were asked, so the readers can get to know about the student of the week in a way no one has before.

The Conversation goes thus:

  - What effort did you think you made to become this week student of the week ?

He started by giving gratitude to the LSS and to the P.R.O for recognizing him over 200plus students for this honor, I think it's my compliant to the dress code, my punctuality to class (30 minute before time),  engaging in school activities, and as the hostel president trying to bring a sense of community between the Law student and non-law students in the hostel.

 

- Did you know you were going to be given this honor ?

I wasn't aware, and was surprised and that the P.R.O deemed me worthy for the recognition and it would have removed the fun from it if i had know.    

 - What are your current goals for the school year ?

 When I was running for the position of LSS president I had some certain goals like promotion of the student welfare, so I would like to achieve them.

 

- What are your Future goals ?

My aim is to be a champion for the promotion of people's rights nationally and internationally.

 

- Tell us what people don't know about you,that you would like them to know ?

 People don't know me as a tender and loving rather they see me as very blunt, some we say too forward, some see me as confrontational and aggressive. I would like to change people's perspective on that.

   The interview with this week student of the week was very enlightening, he showed a side that was new to me, I got to know him better and he really justified himself as this week Student of the Week, stay tuned and find out who will be next week Student of the week.

The Visitor by Khadijah Gbolagade

The Visitor

He is everybody’s enemy

Just a few expect him

Sometimes he comes out of nowhere

But some other times, he could play fair

Once I heard the visitor has come

This time he paid a visit close to me 

He had come to see my father’s mother 

I really wanted to bother

Because of the pain I saw in the eye of my father 

Normally, after a visitor visits 

He takes his leave, being explicit 

But this visitor might be different

Because a normal visitor is being escorted 

But this visitor didn’t want to be escorted 

And so he instead took her along 

Most but not all say he was sent on an errand 

For he has boss 

Many of all feel the visitor is cruel 

Goodness knows why I feel not 

I really hope when I see my visitor 

I am as ready as a radiator 

For as I never mourned her 

I am in return never mourned 

But only backed with good wishes 

The wailing and noisy sound of mourning 

Only makes the visitor happy 

Thus, wants to do more 

I think wailing is bore 

And the one taken by visitor

My good wishes are always with her
